My best friend was considerably larger than me, so when we would smoke he would be finished with his cigarette while I was only maybe halfway through my own, so if I smoked Gauloises our smoking times would balance out.
Also, the packaging on Parliaments has a diagonally bifurcated rectangle with two shades of blue which roughly correspond to the dark- to light-blue color gradation on the cover of my copy of Infinite Jest, so my accessory smokes can match my accessory lit.
